can't sleep

it is one something in the morning and I cannot sleep. actually, my son's coughing is what woke me. so I rubbed some vicks on his chest and crawled back into bed and it was THEN that I couldn't sleep.

I started my final grad class on Tuesday. I am guessing this is going to be a slow mover...already day two and there isn't anything to write home about. we need four days of two substantial posts..how do you do that when the first assignment isn't even due until Thursday? what do you respond to when nobody is posting anything? I should go and log in now..it is 1:42 AM here, but class runs on a different time zone..three hours earlier, what zone is that? I am eastern..so three hours earlier would be.. pacific? not sure..anyway, wait and let me go log in..

(sigh) while waiting....

yup, many more posts. I am off to post now so my participation will count today and not tomorrow. sounds funny but everything is time stamped Arizona time.

three in a row

I have a wonderful shade of blue on my arms..and my elbow..and on the top of my foot. I backed into the wall and let some drip on my foot. but the bathroom is painted..the first coat.

I will get some photos soon but it. is. painted.

AND, I earned another "A" .....in adolescent psychology. not as excited.. but an A. I think it might have to do with this being the last in a row of three...and the prof being picky about things..and just wanting to get done. but none the less, an A!!

not so much

alright, so I am not as crabby. but I was really crabby and irritated.

moving on.

not much else to say. my class was having technical difficulties monday evening and most of the day tuesday so I couldn't get anything done. now I can.

working tomorrow and friday. hoping to have a bit of down time to maybe log in and work? ah, work from school, school work from home.

duh.

class

I have made it past the first few days. it isn't as difficult as I thought but more tedious work. it has made me think in ways I haven't in some time! when you are out of school or even out of teaching, and actually planning the lessons, your brain works differently. I have been quite reflective, visited the local high school to pick the minds of teachers and admin. I have had a few ah, ha's, too.

who wouldn't like to be a lifelong learner?

I. AM. NERVOUS.

VERY NERVOUS.

my online grad class starts tomorrow...it sort of already did. I had to write a bio to break the ice, so to speak. the prof already replied...we have an assignment due tomorrow and lessons plans due both saturday and sunday. research in between and reading,... am i flipping nuts? what was i thinking, taking a class right before the holidays?

i will certainly keep you up to date, that is, unless i am unconscious from delusional tremors from the lack of sleep i am just too busy getting smarter.

tree

the tree is up!

and that is it. no lights, no star, no garland, nothing.

we decided to put the tree in the family room this year. we usually put it in the living room but we have no front window in the LR. so, this year it is in a front window, in the FR. the only other front windows we have are in bedrooms and the tree certainly isn't going there.

I start an online graduate class tuesday. I am nervous!! I haven't taken a class in about...let me think...twelve years! I haven't written a paper, done research, talked with a prof, or earned a grade in over a decade. it is a two week long class...all online. please, please wish me much luck.
