tunnel vision

at times throughout our lives, we often have tunnel vision, which by definition is a condition in which a person lacks any peripheral vision. and peripheral vision is the region of sight where we see objects to the side, out of one's direct line of vision. kinda like I look below...

but then, sometimes, after much reflection, and thought, and soul searching, you decide to look outside of the tunnel and see what is really there..and sometimes you are surprised to learn it was there all along and you just never knew it. or... it was never there in the first place.
