I took this photo from the other side of our neighbor's house...you can see the tree takes up most of the front yard. and below is another downed tree I saw en route to taking my daughter to school. some schools are closed today because of power outages...however, I must count our blessings as we only got what was left of hurricane ike...what about my friend from Clute, TX who had to evacuate? she is safe but what about her home? and all of the other people directly effected? maybe we all should be thankful for what we have and send our prayers to those who need them most.
