have I been here that long? not as long as lady b, but long enough. home again this past weekend to celebrate with my nephew who was confirmed. I can't believe he is old enough! it is great to see family and friends when I am home. I am feeling homesick lately..maybe because I have been home so often lately...maybe because I have seen old friends when I am there. my family is all there, too. my kids aren't growing up with their cousins near by. yes, they have one set of grandparents close but can I say, they aren't my parents? family was, is everything to me. I have always had close friends, those I can count on in a moment's notice. I have made friends here, two of which I know I could count on for anything. (you know who you are!) but somehow, the ties of the past pull strong. I always imagined living in the area in which I grew up. life is certainly different today but when it comes right down to it, I would give anything to move back home. dh knows it, too, but what can he say?

maybe someday. ah, the maybes.
