The Healing Field

Over the weekend, one of our local parks hosted The Healing Field. You could purchase a flag for $30 and it would be displayed over four days. Flags could be dedicated to a veteran or someone currently serving, a first responder or a victim of child abuse. It was incredible to see so many flags. The kids and I wandered around for a bit (and only for a little bit because it was so hot) and read some of the cards. Once the weekend was over, you then received your flag. I hope it will be back next year so I can take K to see it for himself.
