A friend of mine called me today and bc H is home sick from school, I was home. She took her daughter who just turned 3 to the local library for story time. So we chatted for a bit and she shared with me something, um, funny? My friend talked with her 2nd grade son the other day about Lenten sacrifices. Her son thought about it and finally told his Mom that he was willing and able to sacrifice homework for Lent. Without elaborating, the story as she told it was hilarious. Imagine that! A school aged child willing to give up homework.
