an angel with a smile

Today, I stayed inside of my house. We don't have the pine tree out front, but we tried to make a fire. The flue was frozen shut and it wouldn't open so K couldn't make a fire. I stayed in bed or on the couch most of the day. It was too cold to go outside for any reason. There has been some internal reorganization going on so the couch and/or bed was it. How bout you...I heard it was in the negative numbers last night in my home state. Brr.....

Well, the donations. Very slow. I have sent out a total of 82 requests for support. I know my friend in TX is passing it on to others by her. I still have about 6 more to pass along to my fellow PTO members but our next meeting isn't for a few weeks. I have gotten one donation. I am hoping more people are snail mailing theirs in. It can take a few weeks to see the donation on the site so keep your fingers and toes crossed. I think this is a great cause...in addition to it being a lifetime weekend. I think the four of us will experience a weekend we will never forget. You can go to the link and donate....if you are really serious and I know you, comment and I can pass along personal info to you.

"My life is brilliant, my love is pure, I saw an angel, of that I am sure"
I am listening to You're Beautiful by James Blunt. Anyone know the song? I love it. It is sad, he can never be with the one he loves...
"she caught my heart as I walked on by, I don't think I'll see her again but we shared a moment that will last till the end"
"You're beautiful, it's true, there must be an angel with a smile on her face when she thought I should be with you, but it's time to face the truth, I will never be with you"
But the message of true love is simple....the melody haunting. At least to me anyway.

Lastly....Good boundaries prevent resentment. It is good to give. Make sure, however, that it is the proper amount for your situation and resources.

I know what you mean about the song you quoted. Sometimes I can't listen to it because it is so sad...they interviewed him on the radio here one night. He said he wrote it about a former girlfriend after seeing her on the subway in London with her new boyfriend...how heartbreaking! What is going on at the house that you only had the couch or the bed??? It has gotten cold here too...I almost like the IL cold better....it has to be super cold there to make your whole body tremer...here, it only has to be in the 50's! I guess the dampness is what really gets to you. It's NBA All-Star weekend here and some friends and I went out in H-town tonight...WHAT A CRAZY PLACE!!!!! I've decided that only stupid people are on the roads at 1:30 in the morning...myself included...UGH! I am off to dreamland...happy day!!!!

Hi T!
Pico de gallo has chopped up tomato, cilantro, onion, some jalepeno pepper (just a bit), some lime juice, and salt to taste. I think bruchetta has oil in it, but I'm not sure. I still have yet to go and buy the ingredients. I can't wait! Anyway, hope all is well. Jim and I leave for Florida tomorrow to visit his folks. Yeah! Take care, love, Amy
