surprise!

Ever hear a knock on your door and wonder who it is? You're not expecting anything or anyone. The knock catches you off guard.
Today I had the knock on the door. It's Saturday so I am still in jammies, not showered. I peek outside through the peep hole.
I slowly open the door...they ask if I am the name on the card. I reply, slowly, "Yeesss..."
"These are for you. Enjoy your day!"
I love gerber daisies. And the idea of sending them to me for no reason other than I love them says it all.
Thanks, chalupa.

Dear That Girl,

You are probably a little bit suprised that I am writing to you since you didn't write first, but, the internet is full of suprises. Just like the daisies. Every once in a while, somebody needs to be reminded that the things that they do for others do not go un-noticed. That the things that they do are not only appreciated by those receiving them, but that they are noticed by others as well. So, maybe that was the reason for the daisies. Maybe it was to try to cheer you up when things seem to be not so cheerful. Or, maybe, they were just...because. Whatever the reason, I am sure that they were well deserved. Now, can you do me a favor? Can you make sure that it is sunny and 80 degrees tomorrow? And can you make sure that there are no clouds in the sky tomorrow? While you are at it, make sure that every once in a while, there is a slight breeze just to cool things off. Can you do that for me? You are probably asking yourself, "Why the questions? Why ask for you to do something that you cannot possibly do? Something that you do not have any control over?" I am asking that to prove a point. YOU can not and do not have any control over certain things in your life. Some things are just going to happen because that is the way things are. And some people will do or say things because thats just the way they are. Both good or bad. It is how you react to them, that will determine the outcome. And when all is said and done, the bad things were not as bad as they seemed. Yet, the good things only got better. Does this make any sense? Years ago, the only way people could use me was to have a phone line and wait a long time for me to connect. Now, I am just a click away. It was bad, but not as bad as it seemed. So, the point I am trying to make is, don't think that you are superwoman. Don't think that you have to prove yourself to anybody. There is only one person that you have to answer to. One person that will look you right in the face and tell you just what they think. And there is only one way to find that person...go in the washroom and look in a mirror. The person staring back at you is the only one that can tell you if you should feel good about yourself. And if for some reason, the answer is no, then you need to look deeper at that person. And the more you look, the more good you will find. Just like the daisies...the more you look at them, the more joy they probably bring. And if put them in front of the mirror while you are looking in it, they will bring twice as much joy. Have a good day and enjoy it. I am sure you deserve it.

Take care,

The Internet.

p.s. it probably wasn't the phone that was bad. it was probably the place you were trying to take the picture. HE let you know.
