buttered, jellied toast

I had a good, good talk today already with someone important. Sometimes life can throw you curve balls, ya know? You think your life is on track, you think you are headed in the direction you had always planned...but then it happens. When you least expect it, something happens. It is the proverbial curve ball. Life changes, you lose who you are, they lost who they were...and somehow you must move on. You drudge through the mud and sadness, but then somehow, someway, you see life again. You see that somehow through all the sadness can be happiness. The road ahead will be difficult, it will be painful, it will be testing your very inner strength and being. In the end, I believe, the one who travels this unfamiliar road, the path we never ever planned, will only come out stronger. How can we not become stronger, more independent? If we lean on those we love, those we trust, we can and will get through it.

I WILL GET THROUGH IT.

I want to thank those of you who have personally listened to me sob, vent, bitch and moan over the past few years. I have shared bottles of wine with my cousin, late night talks with my sister, gotten drunk with friends and shared my deepest worries and flaws with those who I never thought I would. I had no pretense or intention of being where I am but ya know what?

I see the happiness. I can see it and I BELIEVE we all will be okay. ALL of us...all of us.

We are who we are because of our pasts. I wouldn't be the woman I am today had I not gone through my life the way I have. It makes me what I am today. It brings me to where and who I am today.

And a personal thank you to those of you who know who you are....my personal counselor who never charged me a cent. The times you have listened to me mean more to me than I think you will ever know! The true bond of friendship never dies...you know who you are. And hopefully you know how much you mean to me.

And to my buttered, jellied toast. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Chalupas never tasted so good as when I am with you.
