As I sit here tonight, I am thinking about the weekend. Not because it is simply the weekend, but because it is THE weekend. The big 4-0 weekend. Some, I know, don't want to turn the dreaded age of forty. But you know what? It is what it is. An age. A number. You are only as old as you feel and behave.
My life has shown me many different chapters lately. I have chosen to close the book on one and open another to endless possibilities. I feel good about where I am. So turning forty this weekend will be a celebration of ME. I have come far in my personal journey. I look forward to the adventure.

If I join you, does that mean I have to be 40 too????? If so, I think I will stay the age I am! LOL...Wish I could be there to celebrate with you...but know that I am there in spirit. Here is to a GREAT year and a GREAT beginning to this new chapter...hey, maybe it's a whole new BOOK!!!
You are absolutely correct about this being one more day--there are a lot of people who would give anything to turn 40 as their time on earth was just way to short.
