in September of 2006, my mom, cousin and I walked 60 miles over the course of three days in support of Breast Cancer Research. we each had to raise a minimum of $2,200 to JUST walk. we slept in tents, used porta potties, and showered in mobile showers in the back of semis. all in the name of breast cancer. it seems like a lifetime ago yet still so close. my mom was worried she wouldn't make it. she did and she was awesome! my cousin had her worries but she made it, too. fantastic! these are a few of my favorites from the experience of my lifetime...

and below, all the walkers raise their sneaker in honor of those fighting or those who lost the fight to breast cancer at the Closing Ceremonies

You ROCK!! I've always wanted to participate in one of those but they are never near where I live!!
Love in the Afternoon
This cancer touches so many lives. If ever there has been a fight worth fighting -- this is it.
Wow looks like a great thing to be involved in. I would like to do something like this .
What an amazing thing to do. Go you guys for raising that money. Definitely a great cause and sounds like great memories!
Way to go! That is a LONG walk!
What a great, fantastic PSF and cause. My mother in law is a breast cancer survivor and I am determined to WFTC next year. You've inspired me!!
