so you know how it is when something happens completely unexpected and it turns out to be fun? enjoyable? that is what happened to me tonight.

i had plans to go out with a friend. our local community puts on a friday night 'thing' every so often in the summer. well, we went. there were some people there, there was beer, but no food. I repeat, NO FOOD.

and i was hungry.

so went to a local eatery and by the way, the food was great. we shared a meal and some great conversation. then some other people we know came in, hi D and T!!, and we had some more great conversation. (even though they all made fun of me at one time or another) then my friend and i ventured out to the place~again. it was slow, we could count the people at the venue on our hands but we shared a drink and had a great time. we talked and got caught up. we both have kids but we were able to chat and hang out, if you will, in great weather.

so, thanks, dear friend! we must do this more often.

it is just midnight, yes, not a late night, but a fun night.
