so the AC guy was here again today...getting the wrinkles, out if you will.
it is now officially c.c.c.old in here.

he was rather chatty at one point...saw the eagles memorabilia around and asked where I was from.
'not philly', I say.
'originally from the chicagoland area'.
'but you don't have the chicago accent', he says.
'yeah, I lost that some time ago,' I replied.
'I used to live in Columbus, OH and compared to here, there was more to do,' he said,
'compared to here, there was ALWAYS something to do back home,' I said.
'yeah, the only thing to do here is eat and get fat,' he laughed.

did you hear that?

EAT. AND. GET. FAT.

now, he wasn't fat, not even a large man. and I certainly don't consider myself fat. I just couldn't believe someone who is originally from the area would actually admit to the notion that there is nothing to do but eat and get fat.

go figure.
