Today is Tuesday.

My Mom called with sad news about one of my great aunts.

Our school carnival is on Friday, also J's bday.

I have been busy getting the things I am responsible for ready. Many things have to be done to make a successful carnival. There are many reliable people on our pto that I can count on to "get the job done", so to speak. I can remember when J first started school I said, oh, I can join the pto...how hard can it be to volunteer some time? I also told myself that I would never run for an officer position. Hm, I am currently president. I have loved being in the position I am in...sounds silly, but I can say that one thing that I wanted to be when "I grew up" was a Mom. I wanted to be a Mom that was involved with my kids...room parent, helping at school, etc. I hope when my kids are older they can look back on this time and say, hey, I really appreciate my Mom being at my school all of the time. (for you see, not only am I on pto, but I also substitute teach in the building) Kids, amazing, huh? They are only kids once and this time can never be replaced. I love it when my son sees me at school and calls out, hey, Mom! Or my daughter, Mrs. L...! I enjoy receiving hugs from both of them in the halls.

I recently sent out an email forward I had received...it asked for the recipients to reply to the sender with one word that describes them. I sent it out to many people and these are the adjectives that describe me so far...
